Here are some pics from Halloween and Hawaii. Our friends the Oswalds came over for Halloween. We had a great time taking the girls trick-or-treating and watching the Ducks KILL USC. :) We also just got back from Kauai. It was heaven! Jillian had a blast. We fed the fish, swam in the ocean, played in the sand, went fishing, played at the park and swam in the pool. The highlight was that she swam all by herself (with water wings of course!) . She was so proud of herself. Hope all is well! xoxo

Long time...no bloggin'

Nothing really new around here. We spent Labor Day weekend in Black Butte with the Budden family. We had a GREAT time! Jillian learned what it would be like to have 3 little sisters. :) Wow is all I have to say. I don't know how Eric and Dabney do it. Triplets 24/7! It was exausting but so much fun.

We also started school this week. Jilly has 2 new teachers this year. Teacher Michelle and Teacher Laurie. No tears were shed on the first day but a few on the 2nd. It will be nice to have 3 mornings a week to dedicate to work and mom time.

Other than that...nothing really new. We're looking forward to our annual Hawaii trip in Nov. I can't believe it's a month and a half away!

Sunriver, Ice Cream Social and Beach Fun!

So we've had a busy couple of weekends. We started off going to Sunriver to visit Mike's parents. We had a GREAT visit. Jillian went on the boat, the the Children's Museum, rode grandpa's mower, made bisquits and fed the birds. The next weekend we went to the beach. For the first few days it was just the girls. The weather was great on Thurs! Mike and dad came down Sat for the fireworks. Jillian loved them and kept asking for more! We also had our neighborhood ice cream social on the last day of school. Jillian was able to participate this year. It was fun to see her with all the kids! She's just growing up too fast...Hugs and Kisses to all!

Memorial Day Weekend on the Deschutes!

Happy Memorial Day! We were fortunate enough to get invited to the Oswald cabin on the Deschutes river for the weekend. We had a blast with Bo, Krista, Chloe and Susie. What fun...Jillian had a blast playing in the pool, running around with Chloe on the lawn and "driving" the John Deer tractor. The weather was warm and the river successful. Mike went fly fishing several times a day and even caught some fish! The highlight of the weekend was when we were saying our goodbye's and I almost stepped on a 3-4 foot rattle snake! Most of you know that I am DEATHLY afraid of snakes so this FREAKED me out. Good thing it was the end of the trip! Enjoy the photo's and hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Mike and Dad golfed in a tournament all weekend, so Mom, Jilly and I hit the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous there. We walked the beach, played in the sand and attempted to fly a kite. There wasn't enough wind! Here are some pics of the weekend...

Happy Easter everyone...We started the holiday weekend with a little, well LARGE Easter egg hunt and Lake Bible. Krista, Chloe, Auntie April and Mimi came a long. What fun we had. Jilly also showed Auntie and Mimi where my classroom was and my favorite slide. Sunday Jilly woke up to Easter bunny tracks to her basket and a little egg hunt afterward.

Well...not much has happened since xmas. This explains the no blogs since the 26th. The big event this month was a girls trip to the beach with Amber, Ava, Lauren and Parker. The big girls and little girls had a blast. The weather was beautiful and the company was the best. Here are some pics of the girls from the weekend.

Merry Christmas

Ho Ho Ho! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Our's was white this year...and VERY white it was! We managed to still make our way downtown to El Gaucho for Christmas Eve dinner. It was nice to get out of the house and enjoy some delicious food. We spend Christmas day at my parents house and enjoyed an authentic Swedish meal. Mike had his first experience making Swedish sausage...not sure what he thought of that! Ha! Jillian was spoiled of course and LOVED the pink camo tent and tunnel Grandpa J and Mimi got her for xmas. She hasn't left it since! Mike's parents weren't able to make it over the mountain for the weekend. We were sad but their safety is MUCH more important. Christmas will just last a few weeks longer this year! Enjoy the photo's and love to all...

Snow, Snow, and Snow

So we had about 6 inches of snow on sunday and it's pretty much stayed around. We've been house bound and are getting a little stir crazy. Here are some pictures of Jillian's first time playing in the snow and the fort Mike and her built. She went sledding with the neighbor girls and LOVED it. Why am I not surprised!

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with my family on the actual day and then packed up everything and everyone and headed to Sunriver to see Mike's parents and grandma. It's been a crazy couple weeks...with work, the holiday and our child. She fell out of a shopping cart and sliced her eye open all within 4 hours! Let's just say that Mike and I will NOT be getting parents of the year this year...or any for that matter. Ha! I hope you all had a great Holiday and are doing well. Mike and I have been trying to teach Jilly how to blow bubbles in swim class since she was 5 months. One day at the pool with a 2 year old and she figured it out! Go figure...I caught some of it on clip when Mike was with her in the pool.

We're having a blast here in Kauai! The weather has been beautiful and warm. Jilly loves the pool and has been in it most of the time. The swimming lessons have paid off. She's is a water baby. People were actually taking pictures of her in the water! Nuts! Mimi (grandma Peterson) bought her 1st strawberry margarita (it was a virgin). She LOVED it! Do you think she's spoiled? :) Attached is the video from her first sip.

Pumpkins!

It's been a busy couple of weeks. Ava and Amber came over while their kitchen was being re-done. The girls played while the mom's worked! It was nice having a work buddy. :)

We also bought pumkins this weekend. Jilly loved all the bright orange pumpkins. We carved the saturday and we're all ready for Halloween on Friday. Costume pictures soon to come!

We leave for Hawaii on Saturday. We can't wait! The Geisse, Becker, Odman and Peterson families will be there....Watch out Kauai! We'll make sure to take lots of pictures.

Sorry I've been MIA on the updates lately. We've been busy hitting the beach the past 3 weekends in a row. Jillian was introduced to the ocean and the sand for the first time. It was a beautiful day (80 degrees) at the coast. We played in the sand and the water until a sneaker wave suprised both Jillian and me. Jilly got wet and so did mom! We're off to Sunriver to see grandma and grandpa Walters for the weekend. Have a good week!

Funny Face...

Jilly has made this funny face since she was about 9 months old. Just recently Mike has taught her to make the face on command. She now knows it's her way of getting us to laugh at any moment. The other day she was pulling her bib off while eating frozen blueberries. I was telling her "no" so she would stain her top. Well...out popped the "funny face" and it was all I could do to not laugh. How do they know this? Sneaky little devils these kids are...Thanks to Aunt Jami for taking this picture. xoxo

So...we've been fighting with Jillian to keep her out of the downstairs bathroom. This past weekend we lost! We lost track of her and it resulted in the below picture...Who knew toilet paper could be so fun?

Well...Jilly gave us a little scare this week! On wed. she was taking a nap and I noticed she was acting/sounding funny on the monitor. I went and checked on her and she was having a seizure and wasn't responding. I immediately called 911. After about 5 minutes she came to. Just in time for the paramedics and the fire department arrived. Long store short we took an ambulance ride to the pediatric emergency dept at Emmanuel Hospital where we stayed for 5 hours. Jilly's fine and it looks like she had a Febrile seizure brought on by a spike in body temp. Apparently this is VERY common among 9 month-6 year olds. She's fine now and back to her old ways, but I find it interesting that nobocy talks about this or informs new parents that something like this is very common and not to FREAK out. Would have been nice to know...So...I'm passing the info along to all the new mom's in my life. If your child (hopefully not) has one of these...don't panic. Call 911 and take them to the hospital for a checkup. There's no permanant damage from these seizures. It's just a natural way for the body to reset itself when it's temp gets too high. One last tip I learned is the best way to fight a fever. You should alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 3-4 hours. That's the best way to keep the body temp from spiking. Good to know! So the Walters are doing fine now...Jilly just like's to keep mom on her toes! We're laying low this weekend as we don't need anymore drama. :) I've attached some video clips at the hospital. We were trying to keep Jilly entertained while we waited for blood work. It's amazing what you'll do to entertain you child. For some reason it's me who's always looking like the idiot of the family. Hmmmm...

Cousin Sara's Wedding in MI

This past weekend we flew to MI for my 2nd cousin Sara's wedding. I got to meet my Great Aunt Nancy, My Great Uncle Larry, my cousins Laura and Sara and also my Great Grandma Peterson. We had a great time with all the family. Instead of staying at a hotel, Mimi and Grandpa J rented a restored train depot that has been turned into a rental. It was really cool! I also experienced my first time swimming in a lake and playing in the sand. It was a lot of fun. Mom has added some photo's below of our trip. I hope you all enjoy!

We had a busy weekend...on Sunday we went to the Budden's house and I met my new friends. Reece, Katlin and Kyler. They are so small and so cute. Mom is obsessed with them.

On Sunday night I got to meet my Aunt Christy and Uncle Michael. They are really fun and super cool. They showed my mom this new cool camera called the Flip Cam. Jillian had her 1 year check up today. She passed with flying colors! Here are her stats...

weight- 21lbs 50th percentile
height- 30.5 90th percentile (we are still not sure where she get's this!)
head- 18.5cm 93rd percentile

we had our shots also...ouchy! She didn't like that much.
